Accessible Visualization Design Study

What Is This?

You are invited to participate in a research study to explore and understand the ability and preference in data interpretation for adults with cognitive impairments, and compare those with adults without cognitive impairments to design accessible visualization customized for this group to have effective financial data analysis. This study will include native English speakers from 21 to 60 years old with and without cognitive impairments, without color vision deficiency, who feel comfortable using an online interface to finish a series visualization tasks.

What Will My Participation Involve?

You will meet the research team from the CU VisuaLab and the Coleman Institute for Cognitive Disabilities. During this session, we will ask you about your experiences in using data visualization and ask you to finish some visualization tasks. We will also observe and record your responses and performance when finishing the tasks. During the study, you will work with one or more people from our research team. You can choose whether or not to be recorded or accompanied during the experiment.

How Long Will This Take?

We expect this study to take between 35 - 40 minutes.
